Behavior change : Caching turned on by default with a cache lifetime of 20 seconds to improve performance.
New Feature : Created a "Data Rules" section to allow page authors to manipulate data passed into the chart without needing to modify the data at source.See Using Data Rules for more details.
New Feature: Created a "Configuration Wizard" to simplfy the inital configuration of the org chart.
Improvement : Updated the colour schemes for the built in backgrounds following user feedback.

Added Picture Column property to Chart Items. Sets the column name that holds the picture URL
Added Columns to show property to Chart Items. A comma separated list of column names to be displayed on the chart.

Bug Fixes

Bug fix : Incorrectly displaying a calculated field in the org chart.
Bug fix : Display more meaningful error message if Link Field is set to no existent field name.
Bug fix : Search error occuring when using \ in data as part of primary key in a SharePoint list ( simple text field only ) .

TeamImprover Start Part

Added additional web part, the TeamImprover Start Part, to the SharePoint Org Chart package. The start part allows greater control over the starting position of org charts.

SharePoint Org Chart Changes

Presence indicator properties : Adds the Microsoft User Presence to the org chart.
Chart Data Exclusion Rules : Exclude rows from org chart. Useful for dealing with unruly active directory entries. FieldN=RegExpN, FieldN=RegExpN
Row Provider Connection Field : Specify a field name that is used to connect another SharePoint web part to the org chart. Defaults to the Primary Key field.
Template Text Overflow : If set to true prevents text spilling out of pre-defined templates.
Better error messages displayed if the primary key or manager fields are not present in the data source.
Show Home Button : If set to false then web part never shows the home button.

Bug Fixes

Bug Fix : Resolved issue caused when editing Web part pages in SharePoint designer.
Fix issue when using a list field name with a space in ( for example "Employee ID" ) and using that list to set the starting postion of the org chart.
When pressing "Home" button returns to the "Page Designer" set start value if one is specified.
Resolved strange drawing effects if a user profile is set up with themselves as their manager.
Adjust template layout depending on the size of the chart boxes.
Changing the primary key field whilst in User Profile Drawing mode prevented chart from drawing.
Ensure that predefined templates are appropriate for the size of the item being shown.
Improved printing, now copies across more styles from base page.
Fixed bug with "navigate up" button when using User Profile Service.

Suppress link to MySite : If set then information panel does not display a link to MySite.

Bug Fixes

Org Chart not displaying navigate down arrows for bottom row of org chart if level set to 2
Removed leading or trailing spaces from conditional formatting field names.
Displays more informative error message if fails to connect to a database.
Resolved null pointer exception occuring when connection to database fails.
Fixed bug that prevented navigation working when the primary key was being used as the link field.

SharePoint Org Chart Changes

New data source option. Select UserProfile as the data source and the SharePoint Org Chart will draw the organisation chart directly from the UserProfileService. SharePoint 2010 Server only.

Bug Fixes

Fixed bug with wrong MySite Url being returned as the Link Action
Fixed bug where empty chart is returned if user switches between data sources.
Fixed bug that prevented primary key being used as the link field in an organisation chart bound to SharePoint list that did not use the Person type.

Search Panel

Added MaxSearch properties. Sets the maximum number of search results that will be displayed.
Added MaxSearchText property. The text that is displayed if the results exceed the maximum number.
Supports User Profile Search data source.
Debug mode displays list of available fields.

SharePoint Org Chart Changes

New property QueryStringField : If set reads the chart start value from the specified field in the query string. Allows hyper linking directly to a specific point in the chart. 
New property StackLowerLevel : If set to on then the chart will draw the lowest level ( as set by MaximumDepth ) in a stack
New property Org Chart Background : Sets an overall background image for the organization chart
New property Hide Top Item : When selected the top item in the chart is not drawn.
New property Hide Lines: When selected the connecting lines in the org chart are not drawn.
New feature Added checks to prevent malicious use of SQL Query option.
New feature Allow Org Chart to be filtered from a list. Connect the org chart web part to list using Connections menu. Allows users to set start position of the organisation chart by selecting from list.
New feature Conditional Formatting gives ability to define conditional formatting rules and apply those to the organisation chart. Allows end user to define up to 10 conditional formats. See User Guide for Details.

Bug Fixes

Fixed exception thrown when using External Lists.
Fixed bug with down navigation that occurs after using the search web part.
Fixed bug with ' in primary keys.

Search Panel

Added NotFoundText and FoundText properties. When a search returns a result set FoundText is displayed. If the search returns nothing then NotFoundText is displayed.
Added Results Css Class property. Applies CSS class to results table.
Added RowColor property : applies color to even rows
Added AlternativeRowColor property : Applies color to odd rows.
Added ResultsHeaders property. Sets the titles on search results grid
Search Results table adopts the Width settings of web part.

Information Panel

Added Default Message property. The text that is displayed when a page is first loaded before a user has selected an item from a chart.
